In the Vietnam War Tom saw unspeakable horrors that warped his mind. When he finally returned home he had a nasty temper and a distaste for all those around him, he chose a job as a crop-duster so he could work at night away from the public. One night Tom was using an experimental chemical that he himself concocted from top secret military compound X-16b which he smuggled back from Nam. He filled his reservoir tank with the slimy, green chemical and took off. Almost through with his rounds for the night, he was headed back to make a second pass on the cornfield when suddenly he lost all control of his plane crashing it into the field. His reservoir exploded, spilling radioactive waste all over the field. 

Now, all who have go looking for him are mutated into horrible creatures and to this day no one knows for sure if deranged pilot Tom is alive or dead- or perhaps… something disturbingly in between.
